Hi guys.  Here is version one of our camp organization, please feel free to change & add whatever you want to this page any 'ole time.  We're all friends here.  I've made a list of what we already have waiting for us in the container (out in the desert RIGHT NOW), a list of what we wished we had last year, and who is coming with, who needs a ride, etc.

 

You are welcome to sign-up for tasks (I, for one, like to organize obsessively in the kitchen) and are by no means obligated to jack shit.  Just wanted to start getting a sense of what needs to be done, what we have, what we might want, and encourage ya'll to add anything that comes to mind.

-bleach

-spray bottles (for cleaning in kitchen)

-gray water evaporation tank & kitchen water "filter"  (this could be as easy as just using a wire strainer)

-work gloves for all

-a shitload of hammocks

-parachute line (thin rope)

ON-PLAYA TO DO BEFORE SATURDAY 23:

* figure out where to place container, flag off area (montreal: place container before paul arrives)

* get the cables etc. out of the container (montreal and paul)

* map out the center pole and the six main auger stakes, jonathan availability/moses

* dig the one hole for the center pole

* place the six main augers

* attach crow's nest

* place pole on the ground with all auger stakes set up

* get the crane to place the pole

* 17th/18th crane delivered in afternoon/early evening

* place the solar lamps and tie reflective ribbons to the cables

 

 

TO DO ONCE THE POLE IS UP & MORE PEOPLE ARE THERE (Starting Saturday 23)

* the pole will already be up

* friday/sat get as many people together as possible & pull out parachute

* shake out parachute, tie it down/hang on top of cables (girls & boys)

* bang rebar into ground & put up metal poles inside hangout, for hammock hanging

* hang hammocks from metal poles & main pole 

* pull out carpets & logs from container

* put logs, carpets, & futons inside hangout tent

* set up logs as benches inside parachute house

* build camp

    -set up carport tents for kitchen & private camp lounge (boys?)

    -set-up kitchen (kestrin/girls?)

    -set-up sink/grey water strainer (kestrin/girls?)

    -set-up private lounge (kestrin/girls?)

    -decorate inside of hammock hangout, theme, etc (girls & boys?)  i have an idea for an art project inside the hangout, called "the groove station"

    -set up bars for drankin' (boys?)

    -build shower/evap. pool ((kestrin/girls?)
